Pour commencer, je n'ai pas créé ce post-it parce que trouvais ça drôle de connaitre les gars qui avaient un problème avec leur e-ballast alors que je suis satisfait du miens .
J'ai créé ce post -it , parce que je suis à l'origine de cette commande de e-ballast, avec l'aide de Lord et d'autres , que je suis content de mon matos Muselmann et ça me chagrine de voir autant de soucis .
J'ai donc décidé de contacter Muselmann par mail et de lui expliquer la situation .
Il m'a répondu dans les 2 jours et s'en est suivit un échange de mails . Je lui exposais les soucis que je collectais sur le forum et je lui en faisais part . Il me répond toujours par retour !
voici le dernier mail que je lui ai envoyé hier soir:
Hi Harald,
I tried last week to find guys who bought e-ballast and I asked what they are thinking about .
I found 8 customers for 10 e-ballast, all those e-ballast were bought in spring 2008 . At this time, only 3 ballasts are working and the 7 others nerver worked more than 1 month .
For those 3 ones which are working :
-There is mine. It worked about 1 month and broke down . Returned and changed to V2 . No problem until now.
-For the second one, It's quiet the same as mine , broke down after a few hours . Returned and changed to V2 . No problem until now.
-The third one, the guy uses it with the the original setting (600w) and never changes anything . Normaly the ballast is a V1 but he doesn't no more .
For those which never (or nearly never) work:
Customer 1: V1 broke down after 15 days of use -> returned and still V1 . Broke down at start up -> returned and changed to V2. After a few days , no more 600 W (only 250w and 400w) -> returned . It worked 1 month and a half in 400 w and just after , 15 days in 600 W and a new brake down .
Customer 2: V1 broke down after 1 month and a half -> returned and changed to V2. Broke down after 2 months, the ballast start some times .
Custumer 3: He bought 2 ballasts. Both broke down in a month -> returned and (no sure) one changed to V2 and the other still in V1. V1 broke down -> returned and changed to V2. The other in V2 broke down in a short time after the first one -> returned and still V2 . Now both are breaking down and the customer says that the ballasts never work more than one month .
Customer 4 : He bought 2 ballasts too, they never worked a lot but broke down and are returning at this moment . The guy wants to sale them when they come back repared .
Customer 5: V1 broke down after 10 days -> returned (I don't know the version). Broke down after 15 days -> is returning in this moment .
All those customers use Phillips or Osram bulbs
So you can read a part of FCF's customers problems, those are somes, I haven't find all customers in a week .
Some guys can buy an "other" electronic ballast (lumatek for example) only with the shipping cost !
It become to be very very expensive for a ballast as powerfull as it can be, a lot of those customers think that they have simply lost their money ...and ready to try to forget this expensive story and try somethig else ... with all the things it can lead ...
Others find so strange that a producer, with such a reputation as your, doesn't seem more implicated ....
Our e-ballasts still have one year warranty and you seem confident in the new V3 witch, you wrote, is stable .... Maybe can you propose to change "our" e-ballast into V3 ones ...
That 's just an idea but I'd like you think about this mail

Hello,
it is no problem to change the not or wrong working ballasts with the new version and until now we change all early versions without any comment (also in the future and without warranty). We changed also some returned ballasts which was destroyed while transport and the clients forget to contact the delivery company for the insurance (one person two times, than we filled up the case with PU-seal) or ballasts which fails on wrong bulbs or wrong cable connections. People that have to change the V1 3 times recived a bulb as bonus, so I think we try to give the best service - don´t ask me for the costs here.
In the moment we can´t change ballasts because we wait also for the next generation, but I think we can start with delivery in 3-4 weeks.

Il en ressort qu'il est peu regardant sur les causes réelles de panne : mauvaise ampoule, mauvaises connections, mauvais câblage . Quand ce n'est pas un ballast qui arrive "esquinté" et qu'aucune assurance ne soit engagée des la part de l'envoyeur contre son livreur (arrivé 2 fois et il connait ses clients )
Il est bon de rappeler que le e-ballast Muselmann est du matériel industriel, avec toutes les mesures d'usage que celà entraine . Les prises domino et autres "drôleries" sont à proscrire, ainsi que l'utilisation d'ampoules autres que celles recommandées (Phillips/ Osram, pas de filament et pas de "power ball" ).
Et autres fantaisies
Bon , en gros , une version nouvelle , la V3 doit etre disponible d'ici 1 mois , cette version (discuté dans d'autre mails) semble stable et serait notre Eldorado donc à priori, le dernier renvois (ça ne m'engage aucunement , c'est Muselmann qui le laisse entendre !)
Ce qui est donc conseillé, c'est d'attendre au moins 1 mois avant de rentrer son ballast et de bénéficier de cette V3.
Et ! Muselmann offre une garantie au delà des 3 ans prévu intialement, tous ballast défectueux ou présentant des "erreurs" sera remplacé
j'espère vous retrouver bientôt dans les heureux utilisateurs de e-ballast , parce que je vous assure qu'il assure ce ballast !!
